Annual Widows and Family Christmas Night

Our annual Widows and Family Christmas Night was held on December 15th at 6pm in the Lodge dinning hall.  Considering the weather, a nice crowd showed up to visit and eat some good food.  About 70 Brothers and Widows and their families showed up to feast on turkey, ham, green-beans, dressing, bread and a variety of desserts.

Immediately after the supper meal we adjourned to the Lodge room for open installation of officers.  The attendance was good enough that we had to bring several folding chairs up to have seating for all. Second District Custodian Brother Lavern KISTLER was the installing officer, Brother A. W. HOLTON was the Grand Marshall, and District Deputy Ronnie KEEL was the acting Grand Chaplain for the ceremony.  These were the visiting Brothers from Dougherty 591 and the ceremony went very well.  All elected and appoint-ed officers for 2008 were installed except Brothers Johnny SUMNER, Chaplain, and Hubert SOUTER, Tyler, who were not present.  Several visitors commented that this was the first installation of officers they had ever seen and enjoyed it very much.
